How Bentyl should be taken.
Follow your physician's instructions carefully. Do not take more of it, do not take it more often, and do not take it for a longer time than your physician ordered. To do so may increase the chance of side effects.
Precautions or Warnings for Bentyl
Talk to your physician if you are or plan on becoming pregnant before taking this medication. Check with your physician before you stop using Bentyl. Your physician may want you to reduce gradually the amount you are using before stopping completely. Stopping this medication may cause withdrawal side effects such as vomiting, sweating, and dizziness.
What to do if you miss a dose of Bentyl
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the What to do if you miss a dose of Bentyl and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
Side effects that may be possible for Bentyl
You may experience the following side effects while on Bentyl treatment: confusion or memory loss; constipation; difficult urination; drowsiness; dryness of mouth, nose, throat, or skin; and unusual excitement, nervousness, restlessness, or irritability.
How to store Bentyl
Store at controlled room temperature between 15o- 30oC (59o - 86oF). Keep out of the reach of children.
What to do when overdosing on Bentyl
If you suspect an overdose, seek emergency medical attention. The symptoms of a Bentyl overdose may include: nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, dilated pupils, hot dry skin, dizziness, dryness of the mouth, difficulty in swallowing.

Bentyl may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Make sure you know how you react to this medication before you drive, use machines, or do anything else that could be dangerous if you are dizzy or are not alert and clearheaded.
